At EventFace Finder("we", "us", or "our"), we are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting any personal or biometric data you share with us. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how it is used, and how we safeguard your data.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account Information (Organizers & Photographers)
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password hash, and organization details. Payment details are handled securely by authorized payment processors (such as Safepay) and are never stored on our servers.
B. Event Photos & Master Galleries
Uploaded event photographs are stored in private, encrypted AWS S3 buckets (256-bit AES encryption) and indexed with AWS Rekognition facial vectors to facilitate guest matching.
C. Guest Selfies (Biometric Vectors)
When an attendee uploads a selfie or takes a picture via the webcam to search an event album, the image is processed strictly in-memory to extract mathematical face landmarks (vector geometry).
We adhere to strict privacy-by-design principles regarding facial recognition biometrics:
- Zero Permanent Selfie Storage: Selfies uploaded by attendees are processed in real time and immediately discarded after the search is completed.
- Zero AI Model Training: We do never use your photos, your attendees' faces, or biometric vector data to train public machine learning models.
- Zero Data Selling: We never sell, monetize, or license biometric or personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected data solely for:
- Providing facial search functionality across uploaded event galleries.
- Managing user accounts, authentication, and credit balances.
- Delivering high-resolution photo downloads to verified event attendees.
- Ensuring platform security, fraud prevention, and uptime.
5. Data Storage, Security & Retention
All user data and photos are hosted on secure AWS cloud infrastructure in compliant tier-4 data centers. We implement SSL/TLS 256-bit encryption for all data in transit and at rest.
Photographers and organizers can permanently delete any photo, event gallery, or entire organization workspace at any time directly from the dashboard. Upon deletion, all associated files and biometric vector collections are immediately and permanently removed from AWS S3 and AWS Rekognition.
6. Your Rights & Data Choices
Depending on your location, you have rights under applicable privacy legislation (including GDPR, CCPA, and Pakistan's PECA laws):
- Access & Portability: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Erasure: You may request the immediate deletion of your account or photographs.
- Opt-Out: If an event attendee wishes to have their face removed from an event gallery, they can contact the event organizer or reach out to our privacy support team.
